Some positive news for William Hill

← Back to blog

Those who follow our blog regularly will know that we are partial to poking a bit of fun at the seemingly never ending problems William Hill is encountering. However, this week we bring positive news on one of our preferred bookmakers, whom many have written off as being largely rudderless.

Malta-based Yggdrasil Gaming has agreed a direct integration with William Hill in the latest coup for the supplier’s fast-growing Gibraltar operations. Why is this important? Well, in the simplest of terms, this will add some much-needed strength to William Hill’s online offering. More specifically it means that they can strengthen their In-game promotional tools.

To be clear, this will only impact William Hill Casino, and has little to no bearing on the service provided in their Sports offering. However, it could be argued that this division of William Hill is the one that needs the most help. Competitive Reload offers have all but dried up from William Hill Casino of late, and Heads&Heads hopes that this partnership breathes new life into their offering.

Gaming Commercial Director at William Hill, Graeme Powrie appears to agree: “We have been hugely impressed by Yggdrasil’s commitment to innovation, and their collection of games is amongst the strongest in the casino sector. We have opted for a direct integration so we can take full advantage of the in-game promotional tools and offer our members the exceptional experience they have come to expect from William Hill.”

Let’s hope this trend of improvements continues at William Hill and carries over to their Sports Betting market as well. Even we here at Heads&Heads were getting bored with the negative articles/blogs on William Hill. Here’s hoping for lots more positive William Hill news in 2017!
